LOW-CARBON LABEL
The Low Carbon Label, established by the Ministry of Ecological Transition in 2019, is a French initiative aimed at certifying projects reducing greenhouse gas emissions or increasing their sequestration. In the forestry sector, this label encourages owners to undertake actions such as afforestation, reforestation of degraded forests and the transformation of copses into high forests, thus actively contributing to the fight against climate change.
As a forest owner, committing to a Low Carbon labeled project has several advantages:
Environmental contribution : Forests play an essential role in carbon sequestration. By planting new trees or improving the management of existing forests, you actively participate in reducing atmospheric CO₂.
Financial support : Certified projects can benefit from funding from companies, communities or individuals wishing to offset their residual emissions. This funding can cover a significant part of the costs linked to forestry work.
Enhancement of your heritage : Sustainable and improved management of your forests increases their ecological and economic value, ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
CPB 64 stands by your side to support you in this process. We offer local and personalized expertise to develop projects adapted to your plots, thus maximizing environmental and economic benefits
By collaborating with us, you will benefit from support throughout the process, from the development of the project to its realization, including the search for financing and certification. Together, let's contribute to the preservation of our environment while sustainably promoting your forests.

🌳 Relaunch of poplar groves in New Aquitaine: a sustained and sustainable project
We are happy to share with you the outcome of a project that is particularly close to our hearts: the revival of poplar groves in our beautiful region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
The Navarrenx Wood Producers Cooperative (CPB 64) recently completed planting work, an essential project for the sustainability of the local wood industry and the preservation of our environment.
This project was made possible thanks to the valuable support of:
✅ The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, for its commitment to sustainable forestry development.
✅ The European Union, through the FEADER fund (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development)
Thanks to this financial assistance, we are actively participating in the revival of poplar plantations, an economic and ecological issue for our territory. This approach not only strengthens the local wood industry, but also contributes to the fight against climate change, by promoting sustainable plantations adapted to our environment.
We warmly thank all our partners for their trust and support in this great forestry adventure.
Together, let's continue to grow the forest of tomorrow. 🌲

A new system to help forest renewal
Since November, France Nation Verte has been offering a subsidy to help adapt French forests to climate change.
This program follows the Recovery Plan and France 2030. It aims to improve, adapt, regenerate and reconstitute forest stands in three situations:
The reconstitution of populations damaged by phenomena such as fires, storms or attacks by insects and fungi.
Adaptation of vulnerable forests to the impacts of climate change.
Improving poor settlements to strengthen their resilience.
If your forest corresponds to one of these situations, do not hesitate to contact us for help with this system.

CPB 64 holds its General Assembly
On November 22, 2024, the General Assembly was held with the members of the Cooperative.
A watchword: Sustainable management
A presentation of the annual report made by directors Jean-Louis Boncheau (President) and Jean-Marie Lavie-Cambot (vice-president) for the year 2023-2024. Secondly, there was an exchange with the owners on forestry issues, taking into account the economic and social aspect and above all how to maintain sustainable management over time.

CPB 64 is in the Gazette
The Gazette du Béarn des Gaves is a recognized association of general interest
We were lucky enough to receive a journalist from this Monthly newspaper which covers Béarn des Gaves. After a time of discussion around the issues of the forestry world, we discovered with joy the article in this newspaper which is very close to our hearts because it bears significant interest in the Béarn region. The birthplace of the CPB.
