The choice of marketing method

AUCTIONS, A SOLUTION THAT PAYS OFF
  • A confidential withdrawal price is proposed by the cooperative on the basis of the estimate made by the forestry technicians. The cooperative member may not take this into account, as the decision rests solely with the owner (under certain conditions).

  • During the rising auction under sealed envelopes, the lot is awarded to the highest bidder.

  • In the case of an offer below the withdrawal price, the lot is withdrawn from sale. It will then be negotiated amicably.

  • A fee to participate in the auction is requested (€100 for a single lot, €50 for a grouped lot).

AMICABLE SALE, A QUICK SOLUTION
  • The confidential sales price is set in the contribution contract

  • The cooperative is responsible for bringing together various operators in order to put them in competition and obtain the best price.

  • The sale can be made per product unit or in bulk.

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
  • The cooperative takes 5.5% of the amount excluding tax from the sale

THE CHOICE OF (RE-)FORESTATION
  • Determined, depending on the characteristics of the plot (soil, climate, etc.), the choice of a type of (re-)forestation which will be successful (species, provenance, density, protections, etc.).

  • For each stage, creation of the specifications and call for tenders to the various specific forestry work contractors.

  • Completion of the reforestation file to obtain possible financial subsidies from the public authorities.

WORK PRIOR TO PLANTING (SOIL)
  • Depending on the soil, determine whether it is necessary to prepare the soil before planting to improve the recovery of the plants.

  • Monitoring of preliminary work

PLANTING WORK
  • Preferential prices from nurserymen

  • Quality control of the plants supplied.

  • Plant recovery guarantee (80%)

  • Monitoring of planting work (trampling, installation of protection, quality of planting, etc.)

WORK AFTER PLANTING
  • Plan, if necessary, to clear the plants for at least 3 years to limit the appearance of competing herbaceous vegetation.

  • Opening of silvicultural partitions to facilitate future work and cutting.
